Recent scholarhship holders
Since the association was founded, we have supported numerous young Kenyans from difficult economic circumstances in their studies or their school careers with scholarships.
We are pleased that many of those we support are able to study their desired elective subjects or attend the best type of school for them.
The financial support of pupils and students is achieved with the help of membership fees, generous donations, sponsorships, school runs, sales donations and other donations. Without this funding the work of the association would not be possible.
Due to the social and economic conditions in Kenya, the successful completion of a course of study does not always lead to a job in the desired field, but the chances of an economically secure, independent life with good training increase, even if the search for employment takes some time after completing the course study can take advantage of.
We are particularly pleased about students who have become sponsors and supporters in Kenya and who are passing on our core idea - that education is the most powerful weapon to change the world - to others.
Special mention should be made here of our former scholarship holder John Wesonga Mangeni, who, by setting up and supporting the Mathare Community Center on a voluntary basis, encourages numerous students to learn outside of school and thereby pursue their goals.
In the future, in cooperation with the MCC, we will support students from Mathare financially in their school careers in order to enable them to graduate from high school.
